{"id":14392,"date":"2026-05-26T08:00:21","date_gmt":"2026-05-26T06:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cilcare.com\/?p=14392"},"modified":"2026-05-22T13:10:14","modified_gmt":"2026-05-22T11:10:14","slug":"backed-by-feder-cilcare-accelerates-ai-driven-hearing-research-and-next-generation-preclinical-platforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cilcare.com\/jp\/2026\/05\/26\/backed-by-feder-cilcare-accelerates-ai-driven-hearing-research-and-next-generation-preclinical-platforms\/","title":{"rendered":"Backed by FEDER, Cilcare accelerates AI-driven hearing research and next-generation preclinical platforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cilcare is proud to announce its selection as a laureate of the FEDER program (European Regional Development Fund) for its strategic \u201cCilcare 2030\u201d project, supported by the R\u00e9gion Occitanie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Through this initiative, Cilcare will accelerate the deployment of <strong>next-generation technologies<\/strong> dedicated to hearing research and precision medicine, combining <strong>artificial intelligence, translational science, advanced diagnostics, and alternative preclinical models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project, supported up to <strong>0,6M\u20ac<\/strong> over a three-year period, represents a major step in Cilcare\u2019s ambition to strengthen its position as a global leader in auditory science while contributing to the development of a highly innovative health ecosystem in Occitanie.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Preclinical innovation platform<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>FEDER funding will enable Cilcare to accelerate the transfer and integration of its existing <strong>breakthrough preclinical innovations<\/strong> into a unified in-house platform for auditory research.<\/p>\n<p>This includes the industrialization of <strong>organoid-based models<\/strong> \u306e\u4e88\u9632\u304a\u3088\u3073\u6cbb\u7642\u3092\u76ee\u7684\u3068\u3057\u305f\u9769\u65b0\u7684\u306a\u6cbb\u7642\u6cd5\u306e\u958b\u767a\u3092\u652f\u63f4\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002 <strong>3D bioprinted inner ear systems<\/strong>, within a GLP-compliant environment, supporting more human-relevant and ethical approaches to drug development.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThese technologies have the potential to transform the way auditory therapeutics are evaluated,\u201d <\/em>said <strong>Sylvie Pucheu, Co-founder and Director of Preclinical Innovation<\/strong><em>. \u201cThey provide more predictive, translational, and ethical research models. This initiative fully contributes to the biotherapies ecosystem in the R\u00e9gion Occitanie. It will support biotech and pharmaceutical companies seeking these capabilities and ultimately benefit patients awaiting new therapeutic options.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Clinical data generation, AI and biomarker development<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The initiative will also strengthen Cilcare\u2019s capabilities in <strong>artificial intelligence, data science, and clinical research to advance auditory diagnostics and biomarker discovery.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A key focus will be the continuation of <strong>observational clinical studies<\/strong>, building on the DIAMANT and SAPHIR programs, to better characterize auditory profiles, patient variability, and disease comorbidities, generating real-world data for predictive modelling and biomarker discovery.<\/p>\n<p>Funding will also support mobile and advanced hearing assessment tools for earlier and more accessible auditory screening.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Over the past years, Cilcare has built proprietary analytical tools and advanced data science capabilities that truly differentiate us in the hearing research space,&#8221; <\/em>said <strong>J\u00e9r\u00f4me Geoffroy, CFO and Chief Data Officer<\/strong><em>. &#8220;With FEDER funding, we will accelerate this trajectory \u2014 leveraging AI to extract the full value of hearing data, defining novel biomarkers from complex preclinical and clinical datasets, and developing mobile hearing assessment capabilities in partnership with industry players.
