Cilcare is pleased to announce that Camille Rochmann will speak at the 2026 edition of the Future of Hearing Healthcare Conference 2026, a leading virtual event dedicated to the ideas, innovations, and experts shaping the future of hearing care.
Her presentation, entitled “Beyond the Standard Audiogram: Unmasking Hidden Hearing Loss in Adults with Uncontrolled Type 2 Diabetes”, will take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 10:40 AM EST.
The presentation will explore early auditory dysfunction in individuals with uncontrolled type 2 diabetes, a population at high risk for hidden hearing loss. Drawing on data from the DIAMANTS observational study involving more than 300 adults, the session will highlight the importance of moving beyond standard audiometry through a stepwise diagnostic approach combining speech-in-noise testing, high and ultra-high-frequency audiometry, and electrophysiological assessments.
The talk will also address how diabetes-related cognitive impairment may influence auditory performance and clinical interpretation.
